LADIES WHO LAUNCH
OVERVIEW
Ladies Who Launch (LWL) is a platform that focuses on Inspiration, Education, and Community for women entrepreneurs. They offer a variety of resources and connection opportunities online while supporting, celebrating, and educating women from all over the world.
PROBLEM
LWL needed a website overhaul to reduce, relabel, and restructure their website. The navigation was counterintuitive and, overall, it lacked information architecture. Stakeholders were also gearing up for a major announcement about their Launch Program (grant and mentorship) and wanted to increase their newsletter sign-ups.
The sub-navigation titles were intuitive from the stakeholder's perspective but felt arbitrary to users. This made it challenging to search for specific information.
The density of information also made it difficult to focus on the key points while other areas, like the footer, contained too much negative space.
INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE
After discussing the pain points and goals, I created a flow to organize the numerous pages. Ultimately, the product owners decided they wanted "Inspiration, Education, and Community" to be keywords in the navigation.
